Play a pivotal role in driving technological innovation, strategy, and execution of Can’t Wait to Learn (CWTL), a multi-platform education technology product


  • Developing and articulating a compelling technology vision that aligns with CWTLs scaling objectives. Understanding user needs, design thinking, user experience (UX), interface design, and user testing.
  • Defining a robust technology roadmap that supports War Child’s scaling ambitions. Envisioning the necessary tech stack required for deployment, especially in humanitarian emergencies.
  • Collaborating with various teams internally and across partner organizations to prioritize features, development efforts, and resource allocation. Be a technical mentor to our talented team members.
  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies and experiment with relevant innovations that can enhance our offerings, with a particular focus on LLMs, ML, and AI.
  • Effectively communicating our technology strategy to partners, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Taking charge of developing new adaptive games for our Can’t Wait to Learn (CWTL) platform. From conceptualization to execution, ensure alignment with our product vision and goals.
  • Suggest the right-sized processes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborating closely with our development team to define game features, mechanics, and engaging gameplay experiences that captivate our learners.
  • Working closely with developers, designers, educators, and humanitarian partners to gather input and continuously improve our products.
  • Managing the entire lifecycle of CWTL games, from ideation to post-launch improvements and updates.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation related to product development processes, improvements, and a detailed workplan.


  • Experience: Proven experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in educational or humanitarian contexts.
  • Visionary Mindset: Ability to envision and execute technology strategies that drive impact.
  • Collaborative Approach: Skilled at working across teams and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with a variety of technology business concepts and trends.
  • BSc/BA/MSC in Computer Science or game development or a related field.
  • Experience in product development and user-centered design.
  • Proven experience as a product/technology lead or similar role.
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy.
  • Understanding of budgets and business planning.
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Understanding of primary school education and curricula.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product ownership or management, particularly in education and/or serious gaming or coordinating Edtech product development would be a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Fluent in English, French, and Arabic an added advantage.
