In A Nutshell
Help strengthen the data management, analysis, and visualization capabilities of the performance management team.
Responsibilities
- Field and fulfill requests for data collection, analysis, and presentation, providing assistance to colleagues leading work across the Foundation
- Contribute to efforts to monitor and present compelling, evidence-based stories about the performance of Casey’s investments
- Help improve the Data Tools & Measurement team’s technical capabilities, incorporating new data tools and artificial intelligence into our existing workflow
- Support the KIDS COUNT Data Center, working with grantees to review data on children and families from state and federal sources
Skillset
- A bachelor’s degree in public policy, social sciences or related field; master’s degree preferred (e.g., in public administration, policy, public health, social work)
- Three years of experience with research, analysis, and advocacy relating to the well-being of youth, families, and communities
- An eye for detail and extremely high standards for using data accurately and effectively to tell a story
- Familiarity with some of the major sources of information on youth, families, and communities, including federal surveys and administrative data from education, health, and human service agencies
- Experience managing projects, including establishing timelines, collaborating with consultants and vendors, and meeting deadlines and budget goals in a team environment
- Affinity for the Foundation’s mission; this is a position that requires building strong relationships with colleagues that are passionate about family well-being, economic mobility, and justice.
