About the Solution

Migrant workers are three times more likely than local populations to find themselves in forced labor situations, with bad actors generating $528 billion in profits annually—money stolen directly from workers and their families. 73% of international domestic workers are female and face misinformation and recruitment scams, language and information barriers, and isolation with limited access to help. While migration is essential for economic health in both sending and destination countries, the systems intended to protect workers are increasingly overwhelmed and lack resources to respond.

Migrasia’s PoBot is an AI-powered worker protection and guidance system supporting migrant manufacturing and domestic workers across more than 50 jurisdictions in Asia and the Middle East. Built on a curated knowledge base of migration regulations, labor laws, and support resources, PoBot provides real-time multilingual access to trusted information. The system combines AI-powered triage and case routing to handle routine inquiries automatically while identifying urgent cases that require immediate human intervention. Through natural, culturally appropriate conversations in workers’ native languages, PoBot enables early risk detection, confidential reporting, and connection to support services.

Activating Economic Opportunity

By empowering workers to make informed decisions, safely report abuse, and remain economically active, PoBot strengthens economic opportunity and enhances workforce resilience during periods of labor market and climate-related disruption. The solution ensures that vulnerable workers are not left behind, protecting the remittances that contribute to sending countries’ GDP while maintaining the essential labor that enables workforce participation in destination countries.
