About the Solution

More than 70% of rural populations in emerging economies live in digital exclusion, which translates directly to financial exclusion. Smallholder farmers in Peru—many in the Amazon rainforest now experiencing drought for the first time in their lifetimes—face a devastating combination of climate vulnerability and economic marginalization. Traditional financial systems require high digital literacy, smartphones, reliable internet connectivity, and extensive documentation. Yet many farmers spend their lives offline, lack financial footprints, and live outside connected areas.

IDENTI is a voice-first financial access layer designed to bring smallholder farmers into the formal financial system. Using AI voice authentication, IDENTI enables low-friction farmer onboarding and identity verification through interactive voice response (IVR) or assisted agents. Its AI-driven scoring model combines satellite imagery, crop production history, and commodity prices to assess repayment capacity. Based on this alternative credit scoring, IDENTI instantly disburses right-sized financial products as stablecoin credit, driving sustainable, long-term agricultural resilience.

Activating Economic Opportunity

IDENTI is proving that the rural sector is not invisible—it’s just fragmented—and that trusted tools can bring it together. By building risk models that recognize rural patterns, IDENTI is digitizing data that previously didn’t exist in formal financial systems. In addition to providing access to credit, it provides access to loans for irrigation technology, fertilizer, and carbon credits. The solution aligns financial inclusion with climate resilience through built-in incentives that nudge farmers toward climate-resilient inputs. By training local merchants as data stewards and creating incentive programs to register data, IDENTI reduces operational costs while proving that technology can add value to rural communities.
