Diana Fajardo Pulido is the Community Engagement Manager at data.org, where she leads community-building and engagement initiatives that connect practitioners, researchers, and organizations working at the intersection of data, AI, and social impact. Diana has played a key role in establishing and growing the global community of practice for the Capacity Accelerator Network (CAN), designing and delivering events, learning exchanges, and engagement activities that amplify voices, experiences, and work of fellows, partners, and collaborators across five global hubs. Diana also supports the Epiverse initiative, contributing to coordination efforts in Latin America and the implementation of Phase II in Africa, helping strengthen public health data science capacity through workforce development, epidemiological data analysis, and data-driven approaches for rapid response to health emergencies.
With more than a decade of experience in public health research and project coordination, Diana has worked across Australia, the United Kingdom, The Gambia, and Colombia. Her experience spans infectious diseases, cancer care, and the intersection of climate and health, supporting multidisciplinary collaborations among health and data science researchers in academic institutions, government agencies, and community organizations. Throughout her career, Diana has contributed to the design, implementation, and coordination of research and capacity-strengthening initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes and advancing evidence-based decision-making.
Diana is a registered nurse with postgraduate training in public health and extensive experience in research coordination, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building programs. Her professional interests include health data science, epidemic preparedness and response, implementation research, community-centered innovation, and the responsible application of data and AI to address complex global health challenges.
