Chioma Ome is the Country Director of Solar Sister Nigeria, she is an enthusiast for organizational growth and sustainability. Leading a country team of clean energy and GESI professionals, Solar Sister Nigeria is successfully supporting over 3500 clean energy entrepreneurs to provide clean energy solutions across 30 states in Nigeria.
A champion of women’s empowerment, Chioma possesses a strong background in workforce and organizational development. Throughout her career in both the private and development sectors, she has held numerous leadership roles. Chioma is actively involved in Nigeria’s Renewable Energy sector, previously serving as the Head of Communications for the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN) from 2020 to 2022. She also mentors young female energy professionals in the Women in Renewable Energy in Africa (W-REA) initiative.
Recently, Chioma was honored with the prestigious Organizational Leadership Award (OLA) from the International Organization of Management Professionals (IOMP). She holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and is a Fellow of the International Organization of Management Professionals (IOMP), a Member of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMAN), and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN). Chioma has completed several trainings in Sustainable Development, Leadership, Gender Mainstreaming, and community development.
Additionally, Chioma serves on the board of Development4All. Leveraging her expertise in organizational leadership and human resources, she enjoys providing solutions to early and mid-growth businesses.
