Originally from Medellín, Colombia, Julian holds a degree in International Business from Universidad de Medellín and a Master’s in Administration from Universidad de Antioquia. His early career focused on marketing and development strategy, cultivating national and international partnerships, and spearheading social innovation projects bridging academia and the public sector.
Since relocating to New York, Julian has advanced initiatives in financial empowerment, program compliance, and operational strategy within the nonprofit sector. At Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation—the nation’s first community development corporation—he managed complex portfolios of public and private funding, including multi-million-dollar grants, and built systems for performance tracking and regulatory compliance.
In his current role at HOPE, Julian oversees strategic initiatives, board engagement, and cross-departmental partnerships that enhance mission-driven outcomes. He excels at aligning diverse teams around shared goals, streamlining operations, and turning data into actionable insights.
