Swetha Ravi Kumar is Executive Director at FSR Global, where she leads work on implementable regulation for the Global South, translating policy intent into delivery by aligning governance, market design, operational workflows, and digital infrastructure. She convenes government, regulators, industry, and academia to build shared reform roadmaps, strengthen institutional capability, and run pilots that de-risk implementation. Her work spans smart grids, resource adequacy, cross-border electricity trade, and gender inclusion, and she currently leads FSR Global’s role as Knowledge Partner to the India Energy Stack initiative of the Ministry of Power. She serves as Vice President of the International Association for Energy Economics and a Founding Board Member of the Indian Association for Energy Economics, and contributes to global initiatives, including the UNECE Task Force on Digitalisation in Energy Efficiency and the Asia LEDS Partnership.
She has previously worked with the Florence School of Regulation at the European University Institute, FMO Dutch Development Bank, Fraunhofer ISE, CII-GBC, and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). She holds degrees in Sustainable Energy Engineering (KTH Royal Institute of Technology), Management (IIM Bangalore and HEC Paris), and Electrical Engineering (BVRIT, JNTU).
