Akash Yadav is a Research Fellow at the Mittal Institute at Harvard University and leads Data Science and Technology Research at the All India Disaster Mitigation Institute. Trained in development economics and applied statistics, he works at the intersection of climate risk, data science, and social impact. Working across the CrisisReady and Climateverse initiatives, he builds data systems and analytical tools to strengthen disaster preparedness, emergency response, and climate adaptation. His work spans AI, data science, and applied research to scale heat resilience, pilot early warning systems for floods and extreme heat, improve risk communication, and expand access to climate data. Through this work, he advances data democratization and technology for public good to support more informed and equitable climate decision-making.
