In A Nutshell
The General Manager will be responsible for overall planning, coordination and management of activities under the IndiaAI Innovation Center (Foundational Models) pillar. The role involves working across programme design, implementation oversight, stakeholder coordination and governance, to ensure effective execution of initiatives approved under the pillar.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and oversight for activities under the IndiaAI Innovation Center (Foundational Models) pillar.
- Operationalize approved objectives and policy directions into programmes and implementation plans for initiatives under the pillar.
- Oversee execution of contracts/memorandums/agreements between IndiaAI and Foundation Model startups.
- Oversee evaluation, selection and onboarding of participating entities in accordance with approved guidelines and procedures.
- Facilitate coordination with internal divisions, committees and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely implementation of approved initiatives.
- Monitor progress against approved milestones and deliverables, and place issues, risks or deviations before the competent authority for appropriate action.
- Support procurement, contracting and related documentation processes in accordance with applicable rules and approvals. 8. Review programme progress and outcomes and submit periodic reports and inputs to senior management and oversight bodies.
- Review implementation processes from time to time and suggest improvements based on experience and programme requirements.
- Ensure that initiatives under the pillar adhere to approved ethical, data protection, regulatory and policy frameworks.
Skillset
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in any discipline from a recognized University / Institution by UGC/ Govt. of India. C.
- 15+ years of experience including experience in managing large programmes, projects or initiatives.
- Prior experience of 3 years or more in handling IT related projects in Government, PSU, Autonomous Bodies or large public-sector programmes.
- Exposure to technology-led programmes / R&D initiatives and familiarity with Government of India rules, regulations, procedures, guidelines, processes, and administrative matters is desirable.
