Responsibilities include database administration, data system design, analysis, and targeted reporting. This position is integral to elevating program impacts by providing analysis and recommendations based on reportable metrics that inform holistic strategy development.
Responsibilities
- Play a leading role in coordinating Northern Plains’ integrated data program.
- Design and maintain processes and systems for capturing organizing, fundraising, and communications data.
- Work across staff teams to ensure that data collection systems are working efficiently and effectively.
- Develop clear data visualizations and dashboards that provide easily interpretable information for use in organizational strategy and decision making.
- Build the knowledge necessary to perform customization and administration tasks in our Salesforce database.
- Work collaboratively with staff teams to measure their success and advance their goals.

- You have experience (either education or work) in statistics, data science, or quantitative analysis.
- You are well-organized, can meet deadlines, and can communicate deadlines to staff and members.
- You have experience with nonprofit databases or technical skills necessary to quickly develop a working understanding of databases.
- You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with demonstrated skills working with data in Excel or Google Sheets.
- You have excellent people skills and the ability to develop relationships.
- Ability to work in a job that has many moving parts.
- You are able to travel overnight occasionally (1-5 times per year).
