Deissy Lorena Florez Duarte is a Psychologist and holds a Master of Public Health with specialized training in Applied Statistics, with a technical profile focused on research and on the analysis of quantitative and qualitative health data. She is also trained as an Intermediate-Level Field Epidemiologist, certified by TEPHINET (the global network of Field Epidemiology Training Programs) in partnership with Colombia’s National Institute of Health. In addition, she has pursued complementary training in Generative Artificial Intelligence, further strengthening her competencies in its applications.
In the analytical field, she has experience in statistical and methodological data processing through the use of specialized software. Her academic trajectory has focused on the formulation, coordination, and implementation of research projects in public health, mental health, and brain health. In these areas, she has served as principal investigator, research coordinator, and representative on scientific committees.
Her academic experience also includes teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels in methodological and scientific courses such as Data Analysis, Research Context, and Research Methodology. Likewise, her academic output includes scientific publications, thesis supervision and development, as well as presentations at national and international scientific events.
