Victor Zhu is the Executive Director of Kita, a youth development charity in Singapore that journeys with individuals from under-resourced backgrounds as they claim agency over their own lives. Kita exists to walk alongside young people, creating the conditions for them to pursue their aspirations on their own terms. Its approach is participatory, relational, person-centred, and growth-oriented: Kita centres youths as experts of their own lives, building supportive scaffolds that translate life aspirations into manageable steps while protecting every youth’s ownership of their choices. Through the Finverse Fellowship, Victor is exploring how data and intelligence could help Kita better understand and support the financial health of the youths it serves, deepening the organisation’s ability to make the overwhelming feel manageable, and to walk alongside young people as they build secure, self-determined financial futures.
