Carla Ramchand leads over 1,500 technology professionals at Cognizant, driving regional growth through the company’s AI Builder strategy, helping clients move beyond experimentation to bridge the gap between AI investment and measurable business outcomes.
A senior executive leader with extensive experience leading hyper-growth technology businesses across Australia and international markets, Carla joined Cognizant from Avanade. During her 9 years there, she held several senior leadership roles, most recently as Australia CEO, and served on the Global Executive Committee. Prior to Avanade, she held senior executive roles at IBM and Telstra.
As a passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity, Carla actively champions initiatives to attract, retain and cultivate senior female talent in technology. She is a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW), an Australian organisation dedicated to achieving gender balance and removing barriers to women’s professional progression, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
