Overview
This free, easy-to-use tool helps nonprofits generate their own AI usage policy in about 20 minutes, no technical, legal, or policy background required. After a short intake about an organization’s mission, scope, and how its team uses AI, it asks tailored follow-up questions and drafts a custom policy covering four core areas—governance, data privacy, risk management, and ethics—that staff and volunteers can follow when adopting new tools. Users choose a light, standard, or advanced level depending on how thorough they want the document to be, then review, edit, and finalize the draft with their team before publishing it internally or on their website. Built specifically for the social sector and trained on publicly available guidance from across the field, the tool explains why it asks each question, keeps humans in control of the final policy, and reminds users that every draft is a starting point to refine with their own judgment rather than a substitute for it.
