As Fundraising & Partnerships Manager, you will lead the organization’s external funding strategy and relationship development, identifying opportunities, shaping compelling proposals, and cultivating the partnerships that enable our mission. You will be supported by development officers and program staff, and work closely with Directors and Project Managers across the organization.

Responsibilities

 1. Fundraising & Proposal Development
  • Lead the full lifecycle of proposal development and submission, from opportunity identification to final delivery

  • Evaluate funding opportunities for strategic and values-based fit with DPA’s mission and team capacity
  • Draft high-quality proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest with support from team members; manage follow-ups with donors
  • Leverage and systematize past proposal content to strengthen future applications
  • Coordinate input from Project Managers and subject matter experts throughout proposal processes
  • Support budget preparation in consultation with PMs and finance staff
2. Partnerships and Stakeholders Relations
  • Serve as the primary external point of contact for current and prospective funding partners
  • Communicate and manage proposal TORs, requirements, and specifications.

  • Maintain regular updates to Directors and PMs on proposal pipeline and status
3. Strategy & Learning
  • Systematically track fundraising activities and outcomes to produce analytical insights for leadership
  • Identify internal and external trends to improve fundraising effectiveness and inform organizational strategy
  • Other tasks as required

Skillset

Required:

  • Graduate degree in International Development or Affairs, Communications, International Relations, Business, or other related fields
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated success in fundraising and/or partnership development, with thematic focus in development, humanitarian assistance, human rights, gender, social inequality, public policy, and related topics
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent proposals and deadlines
  • English fluency is required. Candidates must also be professionally proficient in Spanish or French; fluency in both is highly desirable given the regions DPA works in.
  • Experience working across cultures and with globally distributed teams
  • Advanced knowledge of project budgeting and financial management
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); comfort with online collaboration tools
  • Self-directed and able to work independently in a remote environment

Desired:

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive; someone who spots opportunities and acts on them
  • A compelling communicator who can translate complex ideas into persuasive narratives
  • Calm under pressure, reliable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Genuinely committed to DPA’s values and the communities we work with
  • Candidates should be able to work independently, manage their time wisely, and meet deadlines. They should be detail-focused, reliable, professional, and possess strong research, writing, editing, and analysis skills, as well as excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
