The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of two years. At the end of the initial two-year contractual period, there are good prospects for conversion of the contract from a fixed-term to an open-ended employment contract. The position can also be filled with an unlimited contract duration if the employee shows an appropriate period of employment. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all infrastructure-related workstreams (system setup, integrations, access control, deployment pipelines).
  • Serve as the technical counterpart to the marketing project lead, ensuring feasibility and IT compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to data protection and information security guidelines.
  • Define and document a scalable target architecture integrating Salesforce, MuleSoft, DataHub and connected third-party systems.
  • Establish and maintain core architectural principles (API-first, event-driven, composable).
  • Ensure architectural designs meet enterprise quality standards (security, reliability, scalability, usability, maintainability).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility and long-term sustainability.
  • Design, validate, and approve target architectures for new releases and migration projects.
  • Manage technical cutovers and ensure smooth handover to operations.

Skillset

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related technical field.
  • At least 6+ years of professional experience in IT project management, solution architecture, or technical leadership roles within digitalization or CRM projects.
  • Proven track record delivering complex, multi-system integration projects (CRM, marketing automation, and data platforms preferred).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and modern integration paradigms (API-first, event-driven, cloud-native).
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling, system interfaces, and middleware solutions (MuleSoft or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across all hierarchical levels.
  • Fluent in German and English
