Capacity Building Commission (CBC)

The Capacity Building Commission (CBC) is a three-member commission, supported by an internal Secretariat to transform the Indian civil services learning ecosystem to enable a smart, accountable, citizen-centric, and effective public service. It is a key component of the Government of India’s National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB). Members of the CBC have been appointed from diverse backgrounds from the private sector, academia, public sector, and civil society.

Their vision is to enable lifelong learning by harmonizing the training ecosystem, democratizing learning, encouraging performance excellence, and building knowledge partnerships. CBC aims to create optimal learning opportunities for each civil servant to build an agile and future-ready public service.
