Cristina Wittmer is an experienced development professional with over a decade of expertise designing and implementing high‑impact social and financial inclusion initiatives across Latin America. She has a strong track record of building and managing strategic partnerships, overseeing grant portfolios, and delivering programs in collaboration with multilateral institutions, corporate philanthropies, and private‑sector stakeholders.

Cristina currently leads the social impact strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, where she works to advance inclusive innovation, strengthen financial resilience, and support small businesses and underserved communities.

Previously, she supported the social impact portfolio at IDB Lab in Ecuador, contributing to initiatives focused on entrepreneurship, digital inclusion, and innovation. She also directed donor‑funded digital inclusion projects at GSMA’s Mobile for Development program in London, working at the intersection of technology, policy, and inclusive growth.

Cristina is skilled at aligning commercial objectives with philanthropic missions, enabling cross‑sector collaboration that drives sustainable and scalable impact.
