Kate leads Microsoft Philanthropies, a global, multi-disciplinary team that brings together corporate social responsibility, sales, and engineering functions to help drive inclusive economic growth. She is focused on local and global initiatives, partnering with nonprofits, governments, and the private sector to develop durable solutions and deliver impact at scale. The team anchors its work on providing digital skills training for people excluded from the digital economy, providing technology and services to nonprofits and IGOs to build their capacity and advance their missions, and community engagement initiatives such as employee giving, humanitarian response, and Affordable Housing.

Prior to this role, Kate was General Manager of the Microsoft Philanthropies Global Community Engagement team and Associate General Counsel and Chief of Staff to Microsoft President, Brad Smith. Kate began her Microsoft career in Australia and previously worked in legal roles across APAC and EMEA.

In addition to her work with Microsoft, Kate serves on the board of United Way of King County, Titletown Tech, Generation Unlimited (UNICEF) and is a member of the CARE Corporate Council.
