Lamin Jawara is currently serving as a Senior ICT Officer at the Ministry of Health in The Gambia, a position he has held since 2009. In this role, he leads the Ministry’s ICT team in implementing various software applications, including DHIS2, IHRIS, SORMAS, and ePHERM.

His educational journey spans primary, junior, and senior secondary schools, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of The Gambia. Lamin also brings valuable experience in networking, software development, and data analysis.

Since 2009, he has undergone numerous DHIS2 trainings in various capacities, including system implementer, training-of-trainers (ToT) expert, and system administrator. His diverse professional background provides him with a robust understanding of health information systems and their real-world applications. He is passionate about applying this expertise to enhance health data management and support informed decision-making processes across organizations.

Lamin has also contributed his skills to international NGOs such as ActionAid International, The Gambia, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), and Future in Our Hands. Additionally, he has supported several national agencies, including the National Nutrition Agency, the Gambia Tourism Board, and the Directorate of Development and Planning under the Ministry of Finance, particularly in efforts related to the development of the National Development Plan.
