Sara Defibaugh serves as Communications Manager for data.org. In this role, Sara provides strategic social media marketing, events management, and communications guidance and support for data.org and partner organizations in data science for social impact.
Sara has provided strategic marketing and communications consulting in a variety of fields including higher education, animal advocacy, healthcare, and parking innovation. She comes to data.org from Bloom Communications, an integrated marketing and communications agency, where she served as a Marketing Senior Account Executive. Sara graduated from Ohio University with degrees in Strategic Communications and Creative Writing and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication there. She spends any free time snuggling her dog, Holly Beth, reading crime-thrillers, and hiking Texas’ hill country.
