Shivam Shukla is the Lead for Programs and Capacity Building at data.org, where he partners with the Director of Capacity Building to shape and deliver global initiatives aimed at cultivating 1 million purpose-driven data and AI practitioners by 2032. He leads the design and deployment of data capacity accelerators, digital learning initiatives, and multi-stakeholder partnerships across India, the Asia Pacific, and sub-Saharan Africa to advance this mission. His work spans key thematic areas including climate and health resilience, financial inclusion, gender equity, and digital governance. He additionally supports data.org’s senior leadership on internal program management, quality assurance, and organizational growth initiatives.
Prior to data.org, Shivam worked with central and state government institutions in India on data- and technology-enabled reforms, with a focus on strengthening institutional capacity and enabling evidence-based decision-making. He also mentors early-career social impact professionals through his initiative, Impact Connect.
Shivam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi and a Post-Graduate degree in Liberal Studies from the Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University.
