Shubhi Vijay is Manager, Product and Marketing for data.org where she is responsible for supporting the feature, metadata, and content development for the digital platform. In this role, she partners with organizations across the sector to advance how social impact organizations adopt and use data and AI. Her work spans digital product development, including the Guide Finder, Resource Library, Finverse, and DMA, and more recently, she has applied her programme design and grant-making expertise to support challenge grants such as the AI2AI and Activate AI Challenges.
Shubhi is a former journalist with a decade of experience in strategic communications and program implementation with a demonstrated history of crafting compelling narratives. She has spent the majority of her career in the international development sector with the Aga Khan Foundation, Laudes Foundation, and most recently with The Rockefeller Foundation leading on matters of communications, policy, and advocacy. She brings training in user-centered design research to deliver products and services to understand mobile reading behaviors, ICT-enabled training modules for farmers, and labor migration patterns. Shubhi is passionate about women’s empowerment, early childhood interventions, and tackling the climate crisis. She is an alumnus of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, Asian College of Journalism, and Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. In her spare time, she can be found reading and trying different cuisines.
