In A Nutshell
Shape and execute the strategic direction of SolarAPP’s product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on national permitting requirements and processes, uncovering insights that inform and enhance SolarAPP+ capabilities and roadmap development.
- Lead research into new product lines such as automated permitting for heat pump hot water heaters and EV charging, and develop strategies to introduce and grow these products.
- Develop the product roadmap, setting both short-term and long-term goals that align with organizational priorities, mission, and vision.
- Prioritize product features based on impact, feasibility, and strategic fit, making data-driven decisions and adjustments to maximize value.
- Set and uphold clear, measurable goals for product success, collaborating with teams across the organization to drive toward these targets.
- Establish and champion best practices for SolarAPPs product management function, fostering a data-driven, user-centric approach across product initiatives.
- Provide product leadership and input into the Foundations organizational strategy through analysis of market trends, regulatory information, and product research.
Skillset
- 7+ years of experience in product management, ideally in civic / government technology, clean energy technologies, permitting, or a highly regulated sector.
- Proven ability to conduct extensive research and distill findings into product requirements, with experience prioritizing and managing complex product roadmaps.
- Demonstrated experience leading product development through data analysis, goal-setting, and hands-on execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex requirements and new product concepts into clear, actionable strategies.
- Highly organized with a commitment to ruthless prioritization.
- Passion for renewable energy, a strong commitment to accelerating clean energy deployment, and an interest in expanding the clean energy product landscape.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to set your own goals and take actions to achieve them; comfortable working with high amounts of ambiguity.
- Experience leading in an early-stage startup.
