Play an active role in building an organization-wide cloud data warehouse and analytics platform and gain fascinating insights from our data.

Responsibilities

  • evelop lean and efficient target processes by leveraging industry standards and best practices.
  • Take ownership of designing and implementing scalable data architectures that meet business needs.
  • Create optimized data models to ensure well-structured, high-performance databases.
  • Integrate multiple data sources seamlessly while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
  • Keep databases running smoothly by monitoring performance and optimizing queries.
  • Safeguard data integrity by implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other teams to align the architecture with business goals.
  • You guide colleagues from the department, set standards for the use of our products and solutions and, like everyone in the team, are a data ambassador for the organization
  • You are also willing to pass on your experience to colleagues and specialist departments

Skillset

  • You have a university or College degree, ideally in (business) informatics, data science, (business) mathematics, software engineering or a comparable field of study
  • You convince us with your personality: your passion for the topic of data analysis paired with your will to move the organization forward together with us
  • You enjoy working in a team, take responsibility for your own tasks and express your opinion
  • Thanks to your quick comprehension and strong analytical thinking, you are also willing to take on new tasks
  • You are service-oriented, proactive and communicative, have high quality standards, but do not lose sight of your goal and work analytically and quickly with fun on creative solutions
  • You have very good knowledge of the Azure Tool Stack and in addition first experiences with MS Fabric
  • If you have already gained experience in the design and implementation of various interfaces (including REST APIs), that would be a plus
  • You already have knowledge of data modeling of analytical databases (dimensional modeling, data vault)
  • You have advanced knowledge of common architectures and processes in data processing (e.g. ETL / ELT)
  • You are fluent in German and  English, as Welthungerhilfe works in almost 40 countries
