David Mascarina is the Senior Manager of Creative and Brand Experience for data.org where he is responsible for developing and stewarding creative design and brand strategy for the data.org platform, and bringing innovative ideas for envisioning, creating, and managing the development of content. He has over 10 years of experience leading digital product, creative, and content development in the nonprofit social impact sector; particularly in philanthropy, the arts, and academia including the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the Annenberg Foundation, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and California State University, Northridge. With honors, David received a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Communication Management degree in digital social media from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.
In his spare time, David serves on advisory boards for several organizations, such as the Social Policy Institute at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, the Malaya Dance Company of Los Angeles, IntersectLA (a student design group at California State University, Northridge), and the Los Angeles City College Visual Arts and Media Studies.
