Overview
This toolkit is a policy-focused resource featured in the data.org Resource Library that demystifies the complex, rapidly evolving world of AI governance. Developed by the Partnership on AI with input from multistakeholder partners, this toolkit introduces conceptual frameworks—such as the AI Governance Stack, AI Governance Map, and Anchors and Hooks—to explain why, what, how, and who shapes AI policy and regulatory landscapes. By organizing governance instruments and visualizing where norms, standards, and rules sit across focus areas, the toolkit guides policymakers, civil society, and data practitioners in spotting gaps, fostering alignment, and strengthening coordination across AI governance efforts to build trust and promote responsible AI deployment.
