Danil Mikhailov at 2021 Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources (#EIOS) Global Technical Meeting

December 7, 2021 3:00am EST / 9:00am CET

Since 2018, the Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources (EIOS) Global Technical Meeting or “GTM” has been bringing together multidisciplinary experts with a keen interest in the field of Public Health Intelligence (PHI) from all over the world. It is the key annual event of the Epidemic Intelligence from Open Sources (EIOS) Initiative, led by the World Health Organization (WHO), and a great opportunity for the global PHI community to connect, discuss and collaborate towards its vision of: “A world where health threats are identified and responded to so early and rapidly that they have zero impact on lives and livelihoods.” This year’s event will focus on the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on PHI, highlighting experiences and lessons learned in this field, as well as exciting new research, solutions and initiatives that have been a result of this new reality. Danil Mikhailov will be moderating an excellent panel, discussing “Data for PHI: Connecting the Dots”. This closed door session will explore different types of sources/information that are of relevance to perform public health intelligence.
