Fundación Capital

Fundación Capital is a nonprofit social enterprise that improves the financial lives of people living in poverty around the world. They design and deliver solutions that make families more economically resilient by working with governments and financial institutions to co-create economic and productive opportunities. Fundación Capital leverages digital technologies, research, and a growing network of stakeholders to improve systems and change lives.

In 2021, Fundación Capital was named one of eight data.org Inclusive Growth and Recovery Challenge awardees. Fundación Capital and UX are using data mining, visualization techniques, and a machine learning-powered recommendation system to deliver real-time labor market insights directly to informal workers. This project holds the potential to significantly impact the economic well-being of the vast majority of workers in Mozambique by increasing their job opportunities and potential income.
