Global Integrated Education Volunteers Association (GIEVA) is a youth-centered-empowerment non-governmental organization. Its central commitment is to empower the youth for constructive engagement and empowerment for a sustainable future through education, cultural exchange, and collaborative partnership for the development of the youth.

The concept for the Global Integrated Education Volunteers Association emerged in 2005 and the organization was birth in January 2007 after being registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission in August of 2006. The Birth of the organization was a result of the critical need to empower the present and future generations of youth in Nigeria for a sustainable future and development.

The Principal Founder of GIEVA Dr Daniel Obaka was motivated to do this because of his experience as a child from an impoverished background. His poor mother despite the limited finances she had did not deter to ensure a sound education was provided for her son.

Encouraged by his experience, Dr Obaka saw the need to empower other Nigerian youths and also provide leadership training for them. In the quest to achieving this dream, he mobilized 16 (Sixteen) pioneer professionals and experts in education, health, environment, youth, and social works, information & communication technology, legal, and management to team up and register the Association as a non-governmental organization (NGO), Nigeria.
