Dulamkhorloo Baatar is a Mongolian media entrepreneur, journalist, and fact-checker leading efforts to strengthen the information integrity helping build a strong, agile media ecosystem in Mongolia. She is the Founder and Chairperson of the Nest Center for Journalism Innovation and Development, an organization dedicated to promoting information rights through sustainable business models for the media.
Under her leadership, the Nest Center established the Mongolian Fact-Checking Center – the country’s only IFCN signatory fact-checker. She also served as Mongolia Representative for the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) and is a Steering Committee Member of the Oceania-Asia Society of Information Integrity and Safety.
Her work increasingly focuses on the role of artificial intelligence in shaping information ecosystems, particularly in low-resource language contexts like Mongolia. She has led projects addressing disinformation, foreign authoritarian influence, and media sustainability, while advancing the use of AI to improve data quality, strengthen journalism practices, and expand economic opportunities.
