Kalpana Ajayan is the Regional Head of South Asia at Women’s World Banking and comes with 25+ years of experience in financial services in retail banking and Insurance. She has worked in organizations like Citibank, HSBC, and Edelweiss Financial Services in various roles across functions. In her various roles in managing strategy, sales & distribution, HR, and customer experience, she has developed a keen understanding of customer centricity and approaching solutions through the customer lens. She has also spent time in HR function and has deep experience building and supporting leadership development.
Kalpana is passionate about supporting women’s empowerment and in an individual capacity is a certified mental health counselor to low-income women and an advisor to key not-for-profits in India.
