Laura Gómez Bermeo is the Training Coordinator for the Epiverse TRACE LAC project at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She is a Colombian mathematician with a master’s degree in education management and leadership from the UK. Laura brings extensive experience in designing, coordinating, and implementing STEM projects, as well as capacity development in data science. She has dedicated herself to science dissemination and initiatives in STEM with a gender perspective, particularly focusing on children and youth. Laura is passionate about her work and looks forward to further contributing to the advancement of STEM education and gender equality initiatives. Additionally, she is deeply interested in exploring how to build an ecosystem and strengthen capacity in the LAC region and the Global South in data science, adopting an equitable, sustainable, and cooperative perspective. Laura is committed to fostering partnerships and initiatives that promote inclusivity and empower underrepresented groups in STEM, particularly in the field of data science.
