About the AI2AI Challenge
Our global innovation challenges surface how the social impact sector wants AI to work for them. They illustrate how practitioners are building solutions grounded in lived realities—solutions that build stronger, more resilient communities.
The Artificial Intelligence to Accelerate Inclusion Challenge (AI2AI Challenge), launched by data.org and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, with regional support from Dasra and Capital One, called for innovative AI solutions seeking scale to drive inclusion and economic empowerment.
Selected from a pool of more than 500 applications across 82 countries, the five awardees advanced inclusive growth with communities—from Boston to Bengaluru, from beekeepers to business enterprises.
With the funding and technical assistance made available through the AI2AI Challenge, awardees scaled their AI solutions into 26 new geographies, reached over 250,000 people across the globe, and raised $5.7 million in follow-on funding.
