Data is a powerful resource, but needs to be made actionable in order to bring about transformation. Despite an abundance of data, the evolution from data to insight still presents many challenges.
On one hand, data often remains siloed and unavailable. On the other, the type of governance needed to assure proper oversight, transparency, and accountability by those using data is still being evaluated. We need a shift to a more practical approach with frameworks and tools, designing emancipatory data solutions to support new horizons in rebuilding our communities.
Through this session, we hope to bring together diverse stakeholders from across the sector to explore the role of data to empower the most vulnerable. We also hope to highlight and share stories from the ground on how data is impacting communities.
