Gender Lens

under / over

We’re sharing underrepresented individuals’ overlooked stories in data to highlight the need for and benefit of gender diversity in data.

Overview

There will be no justice until women and gender-diverse individuals participate in the entire data for social impact value chain.

As part of data.org’s work to put a spotlight on gender equity in data for social impact (DSI), under / over aims to raise awareness of successful ways for women and gender-diverse individuals to be represented in data and to themselves harness the power of data to drive social impact.

In under / over, our stories help us explore what excellence looks like in the entire data for social impact value chain. Together, we can create a more inclusive data culture and increase the percentage of women entering and remaining in the DSI workforce.
