Lead the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of research strategies focused on improving maternal and infant health.
Responsibilities
- Data Evaluation and Analysis
- Develop and implement data evaluation frameworks and methodologies to assess MCH programs and impact.
- Analyze, plan and coordinate quantitative and qualitative data to measure program outcomes and impact.
- Use advanced statistical techniques to interpret data and generate actional insights.
- Data Management
- Oversee the collection, storage, and management of large datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Develop and maintain robust data systems and databases, including data cleaning, validation, and documentation processes.
- Implement data governance standards to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Dissemination
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate findings to program teams, leadership, and community partners clearly and actionable.
- Collaborate with communications team to disseminate evaluation results through publications, webinars, and conferences.
- Program Improvement
- Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of MCH programs.
- Work across teams to integrate evaluation findings into program design and implementation.
- Monitor and track the implementation of recommendations and their impact on program outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with community organizations, healthcare providers, and policymakers to align evaluation efforts with community needs and priorities.
- Participate in collaborative projects and data-sharing initiatives with external partners.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and workshops focused on data evaluation and MCH.
Skillset
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on public health programs.
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative data analysis and the use of statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Power BI).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, and community partners.
