Overview
Drawing on deep experience building and accelerating the field of data and AI for social impact, we partner with funders, nonprofits, academic institutions, governments, and the private sector to deliver tailored advisory services.
Our work is collaborative and practice-driven: we co-design solutions aligned to each organization’s mission, priorities, and culture, while equipping leaders and teams with the skills and shared understanding needed to use data and AI responsibly and effectively.
Our engagements range from targeted workshops and executive briefings to high-touch cohort-based programs. We offer end-to-end project design and management and customized advisory services that drive impact at scale.

Data Maturity Cohort
With support from Microsoft, data.org led a year-long cohort program to support social impact organizations (SIOs) in assessing, strengthening, and advancing their data maturity. Through guided workshops, tailored resources, and peer learning, organizations built practical data and AI strategies to accelerate their missions.
Rising Equitable Community Data Ecosystems (RECoDE)
With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, data.org led a year-long initiative convening over 500 participants to examine how community data ecosystems can be built more equitably. Through facilitated conversations and applied research, the project produced a widely cited report outlining practical pathways for ensuring communities have power over where, when, and how their data is used to improve individual and collective outcomes.
Multimedia Campaign: under / over
With support from the Rockefeller Foundation, data.org created under / over, an award-winning multimedia campaign that highlights how women and gender-diverse individuals are finding power and driving change by collecting, analyzing, and applying data to advance gender equity and improve lives.
