Alison Carlman is Executive Director of The Alliance Center, a Denver-based hub for Colorado’s sustainability community focused on building an inclusive, regenerative future. Previously, she served as Senior Director of Strategic Learning and Innovation at GlobalGiving, where she led strategy innovation and organizational learning and helped the organization become more community-led. She also served as GlobalGiving’s Director of Marketing and Communications, developing its brand voice and co-creating ethical storytelling principles with community members. Born and raised in Colorado, Alison studied communication at Pepperdine University and holds graduate degrees in community development and monitoring and evaluation from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
