Chief Strategy Officer Perry Hewitt joined data.org in 2020 with deep experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She oversees the global data.org brand and how it connects to partners and funders around the world.

Previously the Chief Marketing and Product Officer at data.org, Perry’s current portfolio includes marketing, communications, and digital product development, as well as fundraising and data.org’s growing network of partnerships. In addition to her functional role, she leads programmatic work focused on women and gender that engages social impact organizations and women leaders around the world. Perry brings a strong gender inclusion lens to all her work at data.org, and as the executive sponsor of the Artificial Intelligence to Accelerate Inclusion Challenge, helped to identify and scale innovative AI solutions that accelerate financial inclusion and economic empowerment.

Working at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and partnership strategy, Perry is passionate about leading high-performing teams to drive sustainable change and impact. She has held marketing, digital product, and strategy roles at Bloomberg Philanthropies and Harvard University, where she previously served as chief digital officer.

Perry holds a number of leadership and strategic advisory positions advancing technology, entrepreneurship, and impact. Current roles include: Connect Council member at Glasswing AI Ventures; advisor at Cascade AI; and board member at Solar Sister, a women-led movement to advance clean energy and empower female entrepreneurs in Africa.

A graduate of Harvard University, Perry remains engaged with her alma mater and is the incoming President of the Harvard Club of New York. She divides her time between New York City and North Carolina.
