Alokita Jha is a Data Fellow at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) South Asia, working with her host organization, the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). In this role, she leverages data for evidence-based policymaking.

Alokita’s work focuses on the intersection of climate and health. Her research investigates the impact of climate events on malnutrition, integrating socio-economic, nutritional, and climate data. She is committed to designing actionable insights that promote sustainable development and enhance resilience for vulnerable populations.

Beyond her research, Alokita actively contributes to global climate discussions, participating in key international efforts to promote equitable climate policies and grassroots resilience. Drawing on her research expertise and international experience, she seeks to develop meaningful solutions to address global climate challenges, advancing sustainability and building resilience for vulnerable communities.
